First of all, take better care of your body. True beauty starts from the inside out. Eat more veggies and less, if any, red meat. Take on foods rich in antioxidants, like berries, and Omega-3's, like salmon. Whole grains like oatmeal and wheat bread will do your body good. Lower your sodium intake to decrease water retention.
One important step we often miss is taking vitamins. A daily multivitamin is essential to take for daily health. Moreover, hydration is of utmost importance. At a minimum we should drink 8-10 glasses of water daily.
Exercise at least three times a week for 45 minutes. The exercise doesn't have to be strenuous or exhaustive. You can start by walking and ramp-up to a light jog or step aerobics. Increase other activity as well. Park further away from the grocery store when you go shopping. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
